Monday, October 3, 2022. 2:00 PM. Webinar: Prediction at Weeks 3 - 4 and Subseasonal to Seasonal (S2S) Timescales, September 2022: Strongly Coupled Data Assimilation with a Linear Inverse Model, and Ensemble Predictability of Week 3/4 Precipitation and Temperature over the United States via Cluster Analysis of the Large-Scale Circulation. Greg Hakim, University of Washington; David Straus, George Mason University. Sponsored by NOAA OAR. More information here. Register here.

This monthly webinar series was created to share ongoing work within NWS and OAR at the Weeks 3-4 and S2S timescales. We would like to foster a relaxed, informal dialogue among forecasters, modelers and researchers. This month, Dr. Greg Hakim will speak about "Strongly Coupled Data Assimilation with a Linear Inverse Model." Dr. David Straus will speak about "Ensemble Predictability of Week 3/4 Precipitation and Temperature over the United States via Cluster Analysis of the Large-Scale Circulation."
