Tuesday, August 9, 2022. 3:00 PM. Webinar: States Taking Action to Align Utility Policies with Environment, Energy, and Equity Goals. Leuwam Tesfai, California Public Utilities Commission; Doug Scott, Great Plains Institute; Wally Nixon, Arkansas Public Service Commission. Sponsored by EPA State and Local Energy Environment Program. Register here.

State utility regulators are increasingly adjusting and adopting programs to incorporate a broader set of environment, energy, and equity goals. Join us to hear from three state regulatory experts who will highlight innovative state and utility policies from California, the Midwest, and Arkansas. Examples will include incorporating broader benefit metrics into energy efficiency programs, applying inclusive stakeholder processes, and implementing performance-based utility regulatory frameworks.

This webinar also marks the release of the first round of chapter updates to the Environmental Protection Agency's State Energy and Environment Guide to Action (Guide). Last updated in 2015, the Guide shares best practices based on state experiences to help states design and implement policies that reduce emissions associated with electricity generation and energy consumption. This first round of Guide updates, with more to come, focuses on utility policies.
