Probability information is increasingly common in the Tropical Cyclone (TC) domain. This study
examines the extent to which numeracy -- the ability to apply and reason with simple numeric
concepts -- affects public comprehension and responses to the types of probability information
that the NWS uses to convey risk during TC events.
