The climate is rapidly changing. But how will these changes affect global weather patterns, especially in winter? This is one area of research that Dr. Jason Furtado, an Assistant Professor for the School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, explores with his team. This presentation will look at how increasing temperatures in the arctic play a crucial role in contributing to more extreme winter weather events and the impacts this could have in the south-central region, the United States and globally.
