Sunil Amrith, the Mehra Family Professor of South Asian History at Harvard University, will present “Unruly Waters: Water and the Making of Modern South Asia” at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Louis A. Simpson International Building, Room A71. Amrith, a 2017 MacArthur Fellow, will draw from his recent book, “Unruly Waters: How Rains, Rivers, Coasts and Seas Have Shaped Asia’s History,” a history of the struggle to understand and control water in modern South Asia.
