Wednesday, October 2, 2019. 4:30PM. Why Is the Economics of Climate Change So Difficult and Controversial? Martin Weitzman, Harvard University. Sponsored by Princeton Environmental Institute. More information here.

Weitzman will provide a crash course on why the economics of climate change is so especially difficult and controversial. Climate change forces economists to push economic analysis to — and sometimes beyond — its breaking point by grappling with issues that are novel or that had been swept aside. Climate change raises economic questions of supreme importance that do not often lend themselves to simple or easy answers.
