The Congressman will discuss where science and politics meet in the work of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, as well as the powers and limitations associated with his role as chairman. A 16-term representative, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. serves New Jersey's Sixth Congressional District, covering most of Middlesex County and oceanfront areas of Monmouth County.

 

Throughout his tenure in Congress, he has introduced and supported legislature regarding environmental resources, healthcare, opioid epidemic, and food safety, among others. In 2019, Congressman Pallone was sworn in as chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, with one of the broadest jurisdictions of any congressional committee.
