LASER, or Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous, are international meetups that are a platform for cross-disciplinary exchange and collaboration across the arts, sciences, and technology. Rutgers LASER aims to illuminate the extraordinary research and applied practice taking place across New Jersey in our laboratories, art studios, and classrooms.

In collaboration with the Rutgers Sustainability Coalition, this LASER will bring together students, researchers, and the greater campus community to consider the theme of “Powering a Sustainable World.” The Rutgers University Senate committee is currently considering the charge to move Rutgers to 100% Renewable Energy by 2050. Focusing on the nexus of art, science, technology, and  social, environmental, and economic sustainability, the evening will consist of lightning talks and a Q&A conversation with RU innovators in the field of sustainability and the author of the 100% Renewable charge.

Location  Zimmerli Art Museum, MAX Classroom, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ
