Thursday, 02 February 2017, 2:00
Thursday, February 2, 2017. 2:00 PM. Webinar: Tracking Federal Guiding Principles Conformance in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Sponsored by Energy Star. More information here.
This webcast will teach Federal energy and sustainability professionals how to use the Sustainable Buildings Checklist in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to help them comply with the 2008 Guiding Principles for High Performance Sustainable Buildings required by Executive Orders 13423 and 13514.
This webinar includes updates related to the release of the 2016 Guiding Principles, which allows the 2008 Guiding Principles to be used for existing buildings through September 30, 2017, “where agencies already have taken a significant action and made substantial progress” toward meeting sustainability goals.” For these existing buildings the Sustainable Buildings Checklist is useful for:
•Conducting building assessments
•Tracking and viewing progress
•Storing compliance documents
•Creating a report showing compliance for entire building inventories
•Reviewing up-to-date energy and water metrics generated by Portfolio Manager
•Reporting compliance in the Federal Real Property Profile.
The purpose, scope, and benefits of Portfolio Manager and the Sustainable Buildings Checklist will be discussed and Federal professionals will come away with an understanding of relevant policy background and how to establish, share, use, and report data for compliance. Students will receive a brief introduction to the Guiding Principles requirements and recommended evidence of compliance and the status of updates to the checklist for the 2016 Guiding Principles.
If you can't attend this webinar, you can request tailored, complimentary training from the Federal Energy Management Program by contacting Erin Zayko. You can also search on the FEMP training database for additional opportunities to learn about the Guiding Principles.
