Recent activities at both the state and federal level may make more resources available to local communities seeking to enhance their resilience to natural hazards and climate change. This webinar will explain some of these potential opportunities and the outlook for future resources. Rep. Jacobs is the Ranking Member of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriation Subcommittee of the Florida House of Representatives and recently served on the White House’s State, Local, and Tribal Leaders Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience, which developed a series of Recommendations on how the federal government could better assist states and local governments in preparing for and recovering from disasters and the impacts of climate change.
