Public Support for Policies to Reduce Risk After Hurricane Sandy
A new
study led by Rutgers researchers analyzes a survey of New Jersey residents to estimate public support for seven building and zoning policies that protect coastal communities from storm and flooding risks. The study found that half of the respondents supported at least four of the seven risk-reducing policy alternatives, but obstacles to translating this public support into policy remain.
