Rennermalm - Evidence of meltwater retention within the Greenland ice sheet
Asa Rennermalm and her team published a paper suggesting large amount of Greenland ice sheet meltwater may be retained and released with months delay. The analysis is one of few studies using actual measurements of meltwater export from the ice sheet, but only applies to a small portion of the ice sheet. The big question now is how widespread this phenomena is around the perimeter of the Greenland ice sheet.
