Working Groups

Six working groups have been formed to address a suite of climate-related issues:


Climate: Past, Present, and Future:

Researching the past, present, and future behavior of the physical climate system on both global and regional scales.

Coastal Environment, Infrastructure, and Communities:

Researching the biological, chemical, physical, and sociological effects of climate change on coastal communities, ecosystems, and resources.

Education and Outreach:

Developing and implementing undergraduate, graduate, and public education activities that further societal understanding of climate change.

Freshwater Resources, Ecosystems, and Agriculture:

Researching the impacts of climate change on the biological, chemical, physical, and sociological components of terrestrial systems.

Human Health:

Researching how climate change will affect human health and infectious diseases.

Human Dimensions:

Researching the role of human behavior in both driving and mitigating climate change, and assessing the impacts of climate change on individuals and communities.
