Climate Change Impacts In New Jersey
The New Jersey Climate Adaptation Alliance is a network of policymakers, public and private sector practitioners, academics, and NGO and business leaders designed to build climate change preparedness capacity in New Jersey.The Alliance is facilitated by Rutgers University, which provides science and technical support, facilitates the Alliance’s operations and advances its recommendations.
Beginning in 2013, the Alliance will be undertaking a deliberative process to develop recommendations for state and local public policy that will be designed to enhance climate change preparedness and resilience. Read Climate Change in New Jersey: Trends and Projections, developed to inform that deliberative process as well as to provide helpful information to the general public, stakeholders and policymakers.
This paper is complemented by a series of “Working Briefs” in six sectors that are designed to provide information about anticipated impacts and risks from climate change in each of these six sectors, potential economic impacts, and leading preparedness practices.
