Kopp - 2018. All sea level is local
Jerry X Mitrovica, Carling Hay, Robert Kopp, Megan Lickley. 2018. All sea level is local. Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.
Kristen Joyse is a PhD student in the department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and a fellow of Rutgers’ Coastal Climate Risk and Resilience Initiative. Kristen is a member of Dr. Robert Kopp’s Earth System Science and Policy Lab, and her research involves investigating the fidelity of storm records in the geologic record and their ability to improve future hurricane flood projections. Currently, Kristen is working to establish the sedimentary signature of the overwash deposit of hurricane Irma in southern Florida. She is also working to reconstruct the history of tropical cyclone landfalls over the last millennium on the New Jersey shore. Kristen received her B.S. in Geology from the University of Arizona. An interest in mitigation of coastal hazards as a result of climate change brought Kristen to Rutgers for her graduate career.
